OCZ annuncia la linea di drive a stato solido Core V2 SSD

OCZ ha ampliato il proprio catalogo di dischi a stato solido o Solid State Drives (SSD) da 2.5" aggiungendo alla gamma OCZ Core la linea OCZ Core V2. I nuovi drive implementano tutte le più recenti evoluzioni della tecnologia SSD: in accordo al produttore possono vantare una capacità di memorizzazione che può raggiungere i 250GB, ed hanno prestazioni elevate, forti della velocità in lettura di 170MB/S e della velocità in scrittura di 98MB/s. Il tempo di ricerca e accesso al dato, indicato spesso con la terminologia di "seek time", è compreso tra 0.2ms e 0.3ms.

In pieno stile OCZ è l'affidabilità dichiarata, che, favorita anche dalle feature tipiche della tecnologia SSD, assicura un Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) pari a ben 1.5 milioni di ore.

Featuring new architecture, the Core Series SSD V2 will be available in up to a massive 250GB capacity and delivers enhanced speeds of up to 170 MB/s read and 98 MB/s write speeds with an improved seek time of less than 0.2-0.3ms, making the Core V2 significantly faster when it comes to both Read/Write and seek-time performance. The addition of a mini-USB port also makes it possible for customers in the field to update the Core V2’s firmware should new versions become available, to further enhance compatibility or performance with future platforms.
