19.11.2014 - GIGABYTE annuncia la motherboard X99M-Gaming 5 per CPU Intel

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY ha annunciato la motherboard gaming-oriented denominata X99M-Gaming 5, una soluzione in formato micro-ATX basata sul nuovo chipset Intel X99 e dotata di supporto per i processori Intel Core i7 con socket LGA2011-3, tra i quali i Core i7 Extreme Edition (Haswell-E), e per la memoria RAM DDR4 (4 DIMM con frequenza da 2133MHz a 3000MHz), gestibile in modalità quad-channel.

La propensione per il gaming è sottolineata dalla presenza di due slot PCI-Express x16 v. 3.0, che consentono la realizzazione di sistemi multi-gpu a due vie con l'ausilio delle tecnologie AMD CrossFire o NVIDIA SLI.

Oltre a uno slot PCI Express x16 (elettricamente x8) e a uno slot PCI Express x1, la motherboard X99M-Gaming 5 di GIGABYTE include anche una porta M.2, una SATA Express e 6 SATA 6Gb/s.

Tra le feature enfatizzate dallo stesso produttore citiamo l'audio AMP-UP, il codec Realtek ALC1150, la dotazione di condensatori nipponici firmati Nichicon per la realizzazione dei circuiti dedicati all'audio, e il controller Gigabit Killer E2200, ottimizzato per il multiplayer.
