Con il comunicato per la stampa di seguito allegato, OCZ Technology Group ha annunciato ufficialmente i suoi primi moduli di memoria RAM DDR3 di tipo SO-DIMM dotati di supporto per la tecnologia Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP). In abbinamento ai processori Intel Core 2 Extreme in versione mobile e ai Centrino 2, i nuovi moduli XMP-Ready semplificano l'overclock dei portatili high-end mediante il supporto di un set di configurazioni predefinite, in termini non soltanto dei timing ma di tutti i parametri dell'SPD (Serial Presence Detect) della RAM.

I nuovi prodotti di OCZ operano a 1066MHz (sono PC3-8500) con un profilo di timing pari a 6-6-6 (rimodulato in automatico in presenza delle cpu Intel Core 2 Extreme e Centrino 2) e saranno disponibili sul mercato in kit da 4GB (2x2GB) per le configurazione dual-channel o in unità singole da 2GB.
