ATI annuncia le gpu Mobility Radeon X1700, X1450 e X1350

ATI ha annunciato tre nuovi processori grafici per notebook caratterizzati dalla piena compatibilità con il prossimo Sistema Operativo Windows Vista in arrivo tra qualche mese e con la modalità di visualizzazione High Definition. Si tratta delle gpu Mobility Radeon X1700, Mobility Radeon X1450 e Mobility Radeon X1350.

Nel comunicato stampa di seguito allegato il chip-maker canadese pone l'accento sull'elevato rapporto tra prestazioni e consumo di potenza, che le nuove gpu sono in grado di esibire. Esse, infatti, integrano la tecnologia proprietaria Powerplay 6.0, che è dedicata alla ottimizzazione della gestione della potenza mediante la regolazione dinamica della frequenza di clock e della tensione di alimentazione dei chip. In funzione del carico computazionale, i processori grafici della linea Mobility Radeon X1000 adeguano sia il clock che la tensione assorbita dalla motherboard.

Il pieno supporto di H.264, la capacità di esecuzione ottimale dei filmati su HD-DVD e Blu-ray nonchè la compatibilità con gli stringenti requisiti di Vista, dettati in primis dalla rivoluzionaria interfaccia Windows Aero, completano la dotazione di queste gpu. Asus ha già utilizzato la versione al top di gamma, ovvero la Mobility Radeon X1700, per i suoi notebook di fascia alta.
